Andhra Pradesh Government headed by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced Rythu Bharosa Scheme for the farmers of the state. Under this scheme, eligible farmers will get Rs.12500 as input subsidy for year. The subsidy will be given to the farmers before the sowing season each year. First phase or first round of the scheme will be rolled out in October 2019.
From October 2019:
Rythu Bharosa will be launched from 2nd October 2019 to mark the birthday celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi. The program is originally slated for launch in 2020. The Jagan Government has also decided to sscrap ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ scheme of TDP government.

Rythu Bharosa is an essential part of election promises of YSR Congress. The scheme cost is estimated at Rs.13125 crores per year. Apart from Rythu Bharosa, insurance premium of the farmers also will be paid by the Government.
Eligibity Status:
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet has to frame guidelines on Rythu Bharosa scheme. The details of eligibility criteria, selection of farmers and required documentation will be released shortly by the Government. The status of scheme will be updated here regularly.
Credit or Cheques:
Rythu Bharosa scheme will be implemeted through crediting the amount into the bank accounts of farmers or through issuing cheques. Farmers need active bank accouns linked with Aadhaar number and mobile numbers to get the amount. The same can be done at the time of implementaion of Phase 1 of Rythu Bharosa scheme.
