The Government of India owned State Bank of India (SBI) has become highly innovative when it comes to naming its branches in Andhra Pradesh. The SBI is planning to name its new branch is Visakhapatnam as ‘Crorepati Branch’. The leading PSU Bank is flying high with the success of such names. The bank already running a branch in Hyderabad called as ‘Kohinoor Banjara’. The other names in the pipeline are ‘Vasundhara’ exclusively for women customers and ‘Yuva’ for youth customers.
The Bank is on high spirits with the grand success of Hyderabad crorepati branch, Kohinoor Banjara. The branch is garnering business of over Rs 500 crore from just 85 customers in this branch. This has happened in a little over a year after it was set up. The State Bank of India (SBI) is now contemplating to cash in on the specialized banking needs of high network individuals in other cities suc has Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. The second crorepati branch is slated to open its doors for Vizag HNIs (High Network Individuals) in February this year (2012).
The branch in Vizag is to be christened Kohinoor Visakha. The Vizag branch has already identified nearly 25 prospective crorepati customers. The SBI has also drawn up detailed plans at the corporate level to roll out similar crorepati branches across the country. The Kohinoor Visakha branch will be opened near RK Beach in February 2012 end. The bank has formed a Kohinoor Club for exclusive customers of these branches and they met up to party over Diwali last year.
The Kohinoor Banjara Premium Banking Centre in Hyderabad (Banjara Hills) works on the `by invitation only’ concept. In the similar lines, the Kohinoor Visakha also would offer specialized banking services to its high flying customers. These services include personalized relationship managers, financial planning and advisory support, 24/7 lockers, online trading, doorstep pickup and drop facilities, forex services and five-star amenities like lounge and conference facilities. There will be a coffee bar and dressing rooms as well. SBI is also planning to open an exclusive women’s only branch called ‘Vasundhara’ at Jubilee Hills (Hyderabad) along with youth-focused branch called ‘Yuva’ early next month (February) in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
