Here are the details of proposed Secunderabad district in Telangana State. The Government of Telangana has decided to increase the number of districts in Telangana to 24 or 25. The Secunderabad district will have 12 Assembly Constituencies in its purview. The population of the district will be around 42, 51, 614 and area will be 1608 sq.kms.
The Secunderabad district will have mandals of Malkajgiri, Ghatkesar, Keesara, Medchal, Shameerpet, Kutbullapur, Rajendranagar, Samshabad, Serilingampalli, Uppal, Balanagar, Ameerpet, Khairatabad, Maredpalli, Secunderabad, Shaikpet and Tirumalgiri.
The Assembly constituencies in the new district will be Malkajgiri, Medchal, Kutbullapur, Rajendranagar, Serilingampalli, Uppal, Kukatpalli, Sanathnagar, Khairatabad, Secunderabad, Jubilee Hills and Contonment.
