Popular Singer Kalpana is well known for her songs in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films. She has wonderful career in music industry. She became much popular with Swarabhishekam, a music show on ETV. Her journey in person life and film industry was full of ups and downs. Here are a few glimpses of her career, life and daughters.
1) Kalpana rendered her first song at the age of 13 years. Her first music director was Puhalendi. Her first female so-singer was SP Sailaja.
2) Kalpana has acted in 30 films as child artist in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films.
3) Both the parents of Kalpana are stage singers. Her father and SP Balasubramanyam are college mates. Both of them used to sing in various musical shows.
4) She has practiced Siddha medicine, which is ancient Indian system of treatment.
5) Kalpana can speak Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese and Arab along with Tamil, Telugu and Sanskrit. She did her MA in Telugu from Sri Potti Sriramulu Telugu University
6) She is composing music for various Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.
7) Kalpana has three daughters. One of them is learning Bharatanatyam and another is a budding singer.
8) Her marriage was broken in 2010. She won various competitions related to music shows. She was also a contestant in Big Boss show.
