The Government of Telangana has reiterated that the Social Survey will be conducted as per the schedule on 19th August 2014 across the state of Telangana. People in all the Telangana districts including cities, towns and villages are requested to stay at home on that day and enroll themselves.
The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao has confirmed that the details obtained from Social Survey will be used for the disbursal of benefits under various welfare schemes of the Government.
The Telangana Government also announced holiday on 19th August 2014 to facilitate the people to stay back at home on the crucial day. The holiday is applicable to all kinds of offices, businesses, transport services, schools, colleges etc.
The Government is firm on the survey even though there is wide spread criticism from various sections of the society. We have to wait and see for the results of the survey and its sanctity.
