This is altogether different fight between the Congress and BJP. Both the parties are claiming that the credit of giving special state status to Seemandhra or residuary Andhra Pradesh should goes to respective parties alone.
It appears that the tour of Jairam Ramesh in Andhra and Telangana regions has been devised strategically in New Delhi. He claimed that the credit of giving special state status to Seemandhra should go to Sonia Gandhi as she asked the prime minister to announce that in Rajya Sabha. He also told the media that the BJP has demanded only for tax rebates.
BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu did not wait to reject the claims of Jairam Ramesh and hailed the Congress of double speaking on the bifurcation issue.
The fact is that the proposed special state status may not be realised if the Congress government did not make an ordinance before Election commission announces the general election schedule 2014.
