Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Union Minister of state for Human Resource Development, Sashi Tharoor found dead in room number 345 of Leela Hotel in New Delhi (Chanakyapuri). The police are yet to found the cause of death but the speculations are that it could be a suicide. Sunanda Pushkar is a 52 year old woman entrepreneur. Sunanda Pushkar has married Sashi Tharoor in August 2010. Sunanda has been undergoing medication for Lupus, stomach TB. Sunanda Pushkar and Sashi have been in news recently for their controvericial spat with Pakistani Journalist Mehr Tarar.
Tharoor and Sunanda were distressed by the controvercy around Mehr Tarar. Sunanda had posted on twitter that Sashi tharoor is involved in an extra-marital affair with Mehr Tarar, a Pakistan-based journalist.

Sunanda had married a Kerala businessman Sujith Menon after the first marriage ended in a divorce. Sujith Menon died in a road accident in 1997. Sunanda has a 19 year old son, Shiv Menon from her second marriage.
