The Government of Telangana has almost finalised the new districts in the state. There will be 27 districts including Hyderabad. The proposals are being discussed in high level meetings and an all party meet also called by the Government.
Following are the proposed new districts in Telangana from 2016:
1) Adilabad: Adilabad, Komuram Bheem, Nirmal
2) Nizamabad: Nizamabad, Kamareddy
3) Mahaboobnagar: Mahaboobnagar, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy or Gadwal
4) Karimnagar: Karimnagar, Jagityal, Peddapalli
5) Khamma: Khamman and Kothagudem
6) Warangal: Warangal, Jayasankar, Hanmakonda and Mahaboobabad
7) Rangareddy: Rangareddy, Malkajgiri, Samdhabad
8) Medak: Medak, Siddipet, Sangareddy
9) Nalgonda: Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri
10) Hyderabad
The Telangana Government has also prepared a draft for the new mandals and revenue divisions. All the districts have been divided after considering the latest population density ratios at the national level.
