The Government of Telangana is making efforts to bring the exclusive website for Government Orders (GOs) back to be available for the general public. The website goir.telangana.gov.in is not functioning at the moment and likely to be launched soon.
The GOs website is only available for the secretariat staff of the departments concerned as the Government has stopped it for general public two months back. The previous website has GOs of all the departments in category / department wise and can be downloaded by the public.
There has been widespread resentment on the blocking of GOs website for general public and a petition has been filed in the high court. The high course has asked the Telangana Government to renew the website for general public.
The Government is working on the new format of the website. It may not allow the public to avail all types of GOs and censor some information under confidential category. They may not allow the regular Government expenditure related GOs to go public.
