Telugu movie hero Uday Kiran died on the early hours of Monday, 6th January 2014. He committed suicide by hanging self at his residence in Hyderabad. He was declared brought dead by the Apollo hospital doctors. Uday Kiram played lead roles in hit movies such as Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Manasantha Nuvve, Nee Sneham, Kalusukovalani etc.
Reasons for the suicide are yet to come out. Uday Kiran got married to Vishitha on 24 October 2012. Earlier to this, he was engaged to Sushmitha, daughter of mega star Chiranjeevi in 2003 and was cancelled later.
He also acted as hero in films like Poi (Tamil), Sreeram, Avunanna Kaadanna, Nuvvekkdunte Nenakkadunta and Jai Sreeram. Uday Kiran bagged Filmfare Best Actor (Telugu) for Nuvvu Nenu.
He got hatrick hits with Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu and Manasantha Nuvve. Uday Kiran was brought up in Hyderabad and studied Graduation at Wesley College, Secunderabad.
