Tentu Lakshmi Naidu is a son of Tentu Jaya Prakash of the TDP. Jaya Prakash was served as an MLA of Therlam Constituency for five terms. He won from the Assembly elections on the TDP ticket in 1983,1985,1989, 1994 and 2004. Jaya Prakash died in 2008 and his son Tentu Lakshmi Naidu was elected as an MLA from Therlam Constituency.
