The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has come up with a novel idea to make the visit to Tirumala Lord Venkateswara Tempe more convenient and hassle free for the devotees. The TTD’s Specified Authority (SA) has approved the design and proposals submitted by the Ernest and Young company for the prestigious Sri Seva Project. The Sri Seva Project is aimed at providing various benefits for the visiting devotees like providing rooms, laddus, tonsuring etc. under a single roof. In the first phase, the Sri Seva Centers will be opened at TIrumala, Tirupati and Hyderabad and likely to expand to other cities and districts based on the response from devotees.
TTD’s Sri Seva Project is estimated to cost between Rs. 30 to Rs.35 crore. And additional maintenance cost will be around Rs.12 crore per year. The project implementation will provide all the necessary facilities such as accommodation, darshan tickets, laddus, tonsuring, railway and bus journey tickets under a single roof.
All the technical aspects like maintenance and infrastructure facilities and the project activation process at all the three Sri Seva centres will be supervised by E and Y (Ernest and Young Company). The TTD also taken a decision to ensure the availability of at least 25 tickets each of Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Thiruppavada (performed on every Wednesday and Thursday) across the bank counters for the convenience of the devotees.
