Government of Andhra Pradesh has finally come out with a proposal to implement Unemployment Allowance (Nirudyoga Bhruthi Scheme). The launch date of the scheme will be announced soon. This is one of the important election planks of the TDP in 2014 Assembly polls.
The Government will give Rs. 1000 per month for each unemployed in the state of AP. The upper age limit for the scheme is 35 years. About 10 lakhs unemployed youth are likely to benefit from this scheme. Details of eligibility, education requirements, age for various categories and other formalities like online application procedure will be released by the Government soon.
It has been estimated by the Government that about 10 lakhs youth will be eligible for Unemployment Allowance scheme as per the data of Pulse Survey. The Government has studied similar schemes in other states and abroad and prepared guidelines.
The Government has also invited comments / opinions from the general public and experts on the modalities of the scheme. The details can be obtained from www.ap.gov.in .
