Union Minister for finance, Arun Jaitley has presented the Union Budget for the financial year 2015 – 16. There are so many expectations on the budget as the Prime minister himself is branded as reform oriented and following are highlights of the union budget 2015 – 16.
There were expectations on the tax soaps being given for the salaried class. The limit on the savings is likely to be increased.
The Economic Survey presented to the Parliament has predicted the growth rate to be more than 8 percent for the coming financial year 2015 – 16.
There will be good amount of focus on manufacturing, sanitation, housing and infrastructure sectors as these are considered as priority areas of Narendra Modi government.
The budget also likely to take steps in order to implement the AP Reorganisation Act. The government of Andhra Pradesh has been pressurising for substantial amount of allocations for the construction of capital city and other projects promised by the government in the Act.
