The Government of Andhra Pradesh has released the Metro Train project details of Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Following are the details of Vijayawada Metro Rail Project like stations, distance and cost. The Government is aimed at completing the project by 2018.
Corridor 1:
From Krishna Lanka PNB Bus Stand to Krishna Lanka Highway, Benz Circle, Autonagar till Penamaluru
Distance: 12.76 Km

Corridor 2:
From PNB Bus Stand Terminal to Railway Station, Eluru Road, Ramavarappadu Ring Road till Nidamanuru
Distance: 13.27 KM

The Government is proposed to call for tenders for Vijayawada Metro in a week. Apart from these, there is proposal for high speed train between Vijayawada and Guntur. The metro train projects are being planned and supervised by DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) Chairman, Sreedharan.
