Telangana native D. Ananya Reddy, who placed third overall in India in the Civil Services Examination of 2023, attributes her success to her own diligence. Ananya, who experienced success on her first try, attributed her accomplishment to a combination of good fortune, divine favor, and the encouragement of her loved ones.
The Mahbubnagar district girl was overjoyed when the results were revealed on Tuesday. “I am really thrilled,” she exclaimed. Her independent study for the exam is what sets her success apart. She simply enrolled in the optional Anthropology course. She also said that Virat Kohli was her inspiration to achieve this goal.
Ananya acknowledged that she was merely aiming to make the list and had not anticipated placing third. She was happy with her performance in the exam and the interview, even though it was her first effort and she was unaware of the benchmarks.
Ananya, a geography graduate from Miranda House in Delhi in 2021, claimed to have created her own study schedule after weighing her advantages and disadvantages. She used a different study approach for the Prelims, concentrating on reading a lot of material. She acknowledged that she concentrated on revision for the Mains, but that the interview was challenging and that her confidence was put to the test.
Ananya is the first person in her family to enter the civil service; her mother is a homemaker and her father works for himself. She mentioned that she used to watch cricket matches as a way to decompress.
Resolving stress was also aided by talking to loved ones.
She added that she had complete freedom to choose the course thanks to her parents. She remembered that her grandfather had always predicted that she would become a Collector while she was in elementary school.
