There have been so many apprehensions on the development of Andhra Pradesh during the past four years. Opposition parties are busy in criticising TDP government for its graphic presentations for Amaravati and various other projects. But the ground reality is different. The efforts of AP Government in bringing various key industries to the state has to be lauded irrespective of parties and regions.
Three Regions of State:
One has to note that Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are the leading states in industrial development. But the new Andhra Pradesh has gained so much in the recent past in terms of industrial development. The reality check also shows that AP is much ahead of Hyderabad in attracting new companies and investments.
Manufacturing Companies in Rayalaseema:
TDP Government has made the state as three zones, i.e., North Andhra, Central Andhra and Rayalaseema for the convenience of development. Rayalaseema is becoming a manufacturing zone with the entry of Kia Motors. The investment worth is Rs.13000 crore and manufacturing capacity is 3 lakhs cars per year. This speaks a lot.
AP Government is also successful in bringing Automobile majors like Ashok Leyland to Vijayawada, Hero, ISUJU etc.
IT Companies to Amaravati and Vizag:
IT and electronic companies are going to set shops in Amaravati and Vizag. These include Macromax, Carbon, Redme, Jio, Nippon, Berger, Appolo, Google Developing Center, Faxcon, PI Center, HCL Campus, TCL, Templetown, Volta, Mindtree, Wipro, Zoho, Medtech etc.
Bringing companies to Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai is not that difficult comparing to Andhra Pradesh. AP lacks proper capital city till the date.
Top Private Educational Institutions:
Another major achievement of AP is establishment of top engineering / technical institutions in Amaravati. These are VIT University, SRM, Amrutha, etc. Any of these do not have campuses in Hyderabad. Many Telugu students go to Tamil Nadu to study in these institutions.
