YSR Law Nestham Online Application – Stipend to Junior Advocates in AP

Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched YSR Law Nestham Scheme. This is aimed at providing Rs. 5000 per month as stipend to junior advocates in the state. Government has issued guidelines of the scheme. Law graduates can apply for this scheme and it will come into force from 3rd December 2019.

Eligibility Conditions: Government of AP has mentioned following eligibility requirements in the GO.

  1. Applicant should have completed law degree.
    2) Candidate should have enrolled in bar council of the state under section 17 of Advocates Act 1961.
    3) Freshers are also eligible to apply. The stipend is provided for the initial three years after enrollment in bar council.
    4) Junior advocates have to submit an affidavit assuring that they are active practitioners of the profession. This has to be ratified by senior advocate or bar council.

5) Beneficiary has to inform the authorities if he / she left the practice for any reason.
6) Certificate has to be surrendered to bar council upto two years after enrollment.
7) One person in the family is eligible to get stipend under YSR Law Nestham Scheme.
8) Aadhaar card is mandatory.
9) Age must be below 35 years.
10) Beneficiary should not own four wheeler.
11) Non practice advotes are not eligible.

Eligible candidates have to apply online only. Applicants should upload law degree along with self affidavit for bar council registration. Aadhaar number has to be mentioned in online application. Applicant also should have active bank account.
