The new Government in Andhra Pradesh has launched new pension scheme replacing the previous scheme. YSR Pension Kanuka (YSR Pension Scheme) is the new pension scheme for senior citizens, differently abled and other needy people in Andhra Pradesh. The scheme is replaced by NTR Bharosa scheme of TDP Government.
Pension of Rs.2250:
The Government has fixed the pension for elders above the age of 60 years at Rs.2250. This is Rs.250 higher than the previous government. YCP Government has promised to hike the pension Rs.250 each year till it reaches Rs.3000 as promised in election manifesto.
New pension from 1st June:
New pension scheme will be implemented from 1st June 2019. YS Jagan’s government has changed NTR Bharosa Pension scheme to YSR pension kanuka scheme. The first pension will be disbursed in July 2019.
Rs.3000 for Differently Abled:
Under the new pension scheme, Rs 3000 for physical handicap, and Rs 10,000 for kidney victims will be provided. The old age pension eligibility age limit has been reduced from the present 65 years to 60 years.
