Panchumarthi Anuradha is from Vijayawada. She was the former mayor of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. She is known as youngest mayor of Vijayawada city in 2000. She is also the chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Women’s Co-operative Finance Corporation.
Her entry into politics was accidental. TDP chief was impressed by her interest in politics and invited to for the mayor post. Anuradha was just 26 years old when she was elected for mayor post.
