Profile of S.Venugopala Chary – Mudhole Constituency

Samudrala Venugopala Chary is an MLA of the Mudhole Assembly Constituency in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh. Venugopala Chary defeated his nearest PRP candidate G. Vittal Reddy by a margin of just 183 votes in 2009 Assembly elections. He contested on the TDP ticket in 2009 elections. Venugopala Chary has resigned to the TDP and trying to join TRS but not yet make his mind up to leave the party. Recent reports also suggest that Venugopala Chary has changed his mind and may continue with his parent party, TDP. We have to wait and watch for the turns and destiny of Venugopala Chary by the time 2014 Assembly elections.

Father of Venugopala Chary is Laxmana Chary. Venugopala Chary is 53 years old. His permanent address is H. No. 2-3-573, Jumeratpet, Nirmal Town, Nirmal Mandal, Adilabad district. He was educated in DHMS in 1999. Venugopala Chary protested against the inept attitude of the TDP towards Telangana issue and parted his ways with the TDP and joined hands initially with Nagam Janardhan Reddy and Hariswar Reddy.

Mudhole is an important village and also a Mandal headquarter in Adilabad district. The Constituency has about 1.7 lakh registered voters. The leaders represented the constituency till the date are Armoor Hanumanth Reddy (1985), G. Gaddenna (1978, 1983, 1989 and 1999), Narayana Rao Patel (1994 and 2004) and Samudrala Venugopala Chary (2009). Though Venugopala Chary has strong following in the constituency despite of the party leanings, we have to see the verdict of the electorate in 2014 Assembly elections, which is going to be a tough contest with multiple parties in the fray.
