Following is a brief profile of T Subbarami Reddy. TSR’s parents are Babu Reddy and Rukminamma. He was born on 17 September 1943 at Nellore. TSR was married to Indira on on 6 February 1966 and they have a son and a daughter. Subba Rami Reddy studied B.Com. at Nizam College, Hyderabad.

Subba Rami Reddy was elected as a Lok Sabha Member in 1996-97 and served in various committees. He was elected to Rajya Sabha in April 2002. TSR was a minister of State in the Ministry of Mines in 2006. TSR is aspiring to contest from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha Constituency in 2014 Parliament elections. He created controversy by asking Union Minister Purandeshwari to vacate the Vizag constituency for him in 2014.

He held the position of Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD.). He also served in various positions in National Panorama Festival Committee, National Film Award Jury Central Film Censor Board etc. He received various national and state level awards for his contribution to culture and cinema. He was conferred Swarna Kamal, a national award for the best feature film, Kala Samrat award by Maharashtra Government and Kala Ratna Telugu Academy etc. He owns several cinema theaters, chemical industries, construction firms under Grayathri Group of Companies.
