The Government of Telangana will be implementing a new scheme for the disbursement of pensions for various categories of people. The scheme called, Aasaraa is meant for pensions for senior citizens, widows, handicapped and other eligible people.
The Government of Telangana in principle decided to give pensions to all eligible beneficiaries. It asked for the submission of relevant proofs in the due course of time. The pension amount for all these categories is Rs.1500.
The pension amount will be deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries from the December 2014. The beneficiaries age should be above 65 years. For this month of November, pension amount will be given in the form of cash.
The Government has also clarified that all the people in Nalgonda district who have effected with floride water will be considered eligible for pensions.
