It is reported that the AP Government has already started the exercise to extend the farm / agriculture loan and gold loan waiver scheme (Runa Maafi) to those settled in Hyderabad. Several complaints and requests hae been received by the Government from these farmers for applying loan waiver scheme to them on par with farmers in Andhra Pradesh.

Several farmers have submited the Aadhaar cards and ration cards of Hyderabad / Telangana and found themselves ineligible for crop and gold loan waiver scheme benefits. The Government of AP is weighing the options to implement the loan waiver scheme to these farmers as well. Farmers who have submitted Aadhaar and Ration cards with Hyderabad address have become ineligible for the loan waiver scheme. The final decision will be taken by AP government after collecting the relevant data from Telangana Government.
