UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has suggested the people of the country not to laminate their Aadhaar cards on the concerns of leak of data. UIDAI has also advised not to print the cards on plastic cards.
UIDAI has informed that the QR code on the plastic and printed cards may not work properly and also lead to stealing of data.

Aadhaar can be downloaded from the UIDAI website free of cost and it will be considered as official Aadhaar card for all the transactions.
Aadhaar need not a colour document and black and white cards also will be considered valid. Aadhaar cards downloaded through mobiles are also valid. UIDAI has also warned the people not to collect Aadhaar data without permission from the authorities.
