Dharmapuri Assembly Constituency has been a stronghold of TRS since 2009 elections. TRS Candidates Koppula Eshwar has won from the Constituency in three consecutive elections during 2009 – 10, 2010-14 and 2014-18. He is contesting again from Dharmapuri on TRS ticket. Dharmapuri is part of Karimnagar district.
2018 and 2014 Elections:
It was a cake walk for Koppula Eshwar in 2014 Assembly Elections. He defeated Adluri Laxman Kumar of Congress Party with a margin of 18,679 votes. BJP candidate, Kannam Anjaiah has secured 9.13 votes in 2014 elections.

Population and Voters:
Dharmapuri Constituency has a total population of 2.84 lakhs. Male population is 1.4 lakhs and female population is 1.43 lakhs. According to 2011 census, total electorates in the constituency are 1.91 lakhs. Out of these 94863 are male and 96243 are female voters respectively.
