The innovative Digital Locker scheme of Government of India will facilitate the people to keep all the important documents at one place online. The people can log in to the website digitallocker.gov.in using aadhaar number and mobile number and start uploading the e-documents to the storage space provided by the Central Government.
Sign in / Sign Up to Digital Locker website:
The Digital Locker / Digi Locker scheme will start from 1st July 2015 after a formal launch by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The users can sign up for the first time to sign in and upload the documents. All that you need is your aadhaar number and aadhaar linked mobile number to sign up.

Step by step procedure to upload documents to Digital Locker:
Step 1: Type the URL digitallocker.gov.in and you will get the home page.
Step 2: Read all the basic information and FAQs to get clarity and purpose of the Digital Locker scheme.
Step 3: Click on the Sign Up (If visiting for the first time).
Step 4: Enter Aadhaar Number in the field provided
Step 5: Click on Use OTP OR Use Finger Print if you have the facility to upload finger prints.
Step 6: You will get One Time Password to your mobile number and enter that number in the space provided.
Step 7: Start uploading the documents like aadhaar, health cards, social security card, passport, ration card, pan card, driving license etc.
