The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are going digital from 2nd June 2012 thanks to the efforts of AP Media and Broadcasting Company. The complete street view integrated with the map of the entire Hyderabad and Secunderabad in a digital format can be accessed from a mobile phone is to be launched on 2nd June 2012. This is the first of its kind project in India being taken up by AP Media and Broadcasting Company Private Limited with technical assistance from Wipro and in association with Google. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 30 crore and it is using Google Earth Builder Software to integrate the street view with the longitude – latitude coordinates which will allow the user to get complete view of the location. The project is proposed to include vast date of each property, ownership and occupants.
The company will update the data on a weekly basis for which the company plans to have 1000 resource centers across the twin cities. It is also aimed at expanding the project to entire state and country in a phased manner.
