The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced that the DWCRA Runa Maafee scheme (DWCRA Loan Waiver) will be implemented as per the guidelines to be released by the Government. The Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) scheme is highly successful self – help group scheme in AP.
The TDP has promised the DWCRA Loan Waiver Scheme in the Assembly Elections 2014. The loan of Rs. 10000 per each women self – help group member will be waived. There will be 10 members in each group thus each self help group (DWCRA group) will get Rs. 1 lakh loan waiver.
The Government is yet to frame guidelines for the DWCRA loan waiver scheme. There are apprehensions on the implementation of the DWCRA loan waiver scheme. The crop and gold loan waiver promise also in trouble as Government put so many clauses to get eligibility for the scheme.
