The famous Khairatabad Ganesha has set another record this year. The idol in the form of Kailasha Viswaropa Maha ganapathi is 60 feet tall marking the 60th year of installation at Khairatabad. The maha laddu is weigh at about 5000 kilograms.
The Ganesh idol was made under the supervision of C. Rajendran, a Chennai based sculptor. He has been doing this for the past two decades. Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee looks after the celebrations.
Here is the latest photograph of Khairatabad Ganesha. The laddu will be made at Tapeswaram in East Godavari district. There will be a special puja at 9 AM in the presence of Governor ESL Narasimhan. See the idol below:
