The land acquisition process for Amaravati – Anantapur express way is under progress and has reached to the completion stage. The prestigious expressway project is being funded by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under Bharatmala Project of central government.

The state government will acquire the land required for the implementation of the project. The AP state government has allocated Rs. 2200 crore for the land acquisition in various districts. The marking for the land acquisition has already been completed and the district magistrates will acquire the land as per the provisions of land acquisition act.
The Amaravathi – Anantapur Expressways passes through the districts of Guntur, Prakasam, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. The state government has expressed its willingness to acquire the land with its expenses for the project.
The State Government of Andhra Pradesh is betting high on the development of basic infrastructure in the new capital, Amaravati. It has also initiated metro rail project in Vijayawada, apart from elevated corridors.
