The Government of Andhra Pradesh has increased the land rates across the state for various categories of lands. It is expected that the Government may earn Rs. 1000 crore per year through this hike in land rates. Upto 35 percent average hike is seen in land rates.
The new land rates will come into force from 1st August 2015. The orders have been issued to all the officers of the department of Stamps and Registrations. The hike will be about 100 percent in urban areas. The Government exempted the CRDA region from the hike.
There is no hike in land prices of the 29 villages that comes under new capital region in AP. There is 40 percent hike in cities and 60 -100 percent hike in sub urban areas and growing cities. The sub urban regions of Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nellore and Tirupari have seen so much hike in market rates.
There is hike in agriculture land rates also. Upto 50 percent is increased for Agriculture land rates. The values of house sites and residential houses in villages and major panchayats also have been increased by the revenue department.
