New Traffic Penalties and Fines in Hyderabad from 1st September 2019

New traffic rules and penalities will come into force across the country from 1st September 2019. Government of India has brought a new Motor Vehicle Act 2019 imposing heavy penalities on traffic violations to reduce accidents and hassle free driving on the roads. The following penalities for various traffic violations will be implemented in Hyderabad, and other metro cities and other parts of the country from the said date.

Here is a list of all the fines and the amount by which they will be increased:

Heavy Penalties:

The new Motor Vehicle Act has imposed fines upto 10 times higher than the previous penalities. Driving without license attracts Rs.5000 penality as per the new law while the previous fine is Rs.500. Use of mobile while driving attracts Rs.5000 fine as per the new Act. In the similar way, all the penalities are revised significantly.

Cab Services:

Government of India has also introduced new rules for obtaining driving license. The validity of driving license is reduced from 20 years to 10 years. The driving license will be renewed upto 60 years only. Cab services also comes under the purview of new Motor Vehicle Act 2019.
