PM Kisan Scheme First Phase – Check Payment Status

The ambitious PM KISAN (Prime Minister Kisam Samman Nidhi) scheme is all set to be launched by the Central Government from 24th February 2019. First phase amount of Rs.2000 out of Rs.6000 promised to the farmers under this scheme will be deposited into bank accounts of eligible farmers across the country.

First Phase from 24 February:

The Central Government will deposit Rs.2000 as first installment under PM KISAN scheme. The scheme will be officially launched on 24th February 2019 from Gorakhpur. The Government is proposed to complete the first phase installments by 31st March 2019. Farmers can also check the status of payments. They have to link bank accounts with Aadhaar number.

1 Crore farmers to benefit:

It is estimated that about 1 crore farmers will be benefited from PM KISAN scheme. Small farmers with 2 hectares of land are eligible for benefits under this sheme. They will get Rs.6000 per year as financial incentive. First installment will be completed by 31st March.

Farmers list from states:

The central government is getting lists of eligible farmers from state governments. It is reported that state such as UP, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu are proactive in sending the lists of farmers.

Second Phase after 1st April 2019:

The Central Government will also launch second phase / second installment of PM KISAN after 1st April 2019. The amount of Rs.2000 will be transferred to the bank accounts of farmers in the second phase.

About PM KISAN Scheme:

The Central Government has announced PM KISAN scheme for farmers in the last budget 2019. The Government will pay Rs. 6000 to each farmer per annum. About 12 crore farmers are expected to benefit under this scheme.
