Koramutla Srinivasulu (K. Srinivasulu) was elected to Andhra Pradesh Assembly from Kodur Constituency of Kadapa district during 2009 elections. Kodur constituency was reserved for SC community as the segment has about 50000 SC voters. Srinivasulu is a staunch follower of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He is also a close associate of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress Party.
Recent political developments are indicating that K. Srinivasulu is in second thoughts over his support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The PCC has spared him from the list of candidates who served show cause notices for the anti party activieis. It is observed that Srinivasulu made truce with Congress party for not offering support to YS Jagan in Kadapa bye elections.
Koduru Constituency has been a strong hold of TDP for a long time. Mangampeta village of the constituency has the largest deposits of Barities mine in the world. Telugu Desam has won all the general elections to the constituency till 2004. The segment has slipped from the TDP hands in 2004 elections and continued in 2009 elections as well.
