Palle Sindhura Reddy, born on August 2, 1990, is a dynamic Indian politician from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). In the 2024 elections, she emerged victorious in the Puttaparthi Assembly Constituency in Andhra Pradesh’s Sri Sathya Sai district by defeating the incumbent MLA, Duddukunta Sreedhar Reddy of the YSR Congress Party, winning by a margin of 8,760 votes. At just 34 years old, Sindhura stands out as one of the youngest members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
Her academic journey is equally impressive. Sindhura completed her schooling in Kerala before earning a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Amrita School of Engineering in Coimbatore. She further enhanced her expertise by obtaining an M.Tech in Nanotechnology from the Amrita Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine in Kochi, graduating in 2013.
Sindhura’s political and professional life is complemented by her strong family ties. She is married to Palle Venkata Krishna Reddy, the chairman of the Balaji Educational Society, which runs several colleges in the Anantapur district. Politics runs in the family—her father-in-law, Palle Raghunatha Reddy, is a veteran TDP politician and the founder of the Balaji Educational Society. Additionally, her father, N. Shanker Reddy, is a retired IPS officer who once held the esteemed position of Director General of Police in Kerala.
During her election campaign, Sindhura focused on addressing local issues such as unemployment and was committed to attracting industrial investments to boost the region’s economic development. Beyond her legislative duties, she remains actively engaged with her constituents through social media platforms like Instagram, where she frequently shares updates and interacts with the community.
