The Andhra Pradesh circle of India Post has come up with an innovative facility to make speed post hassle free. India post customers can send the speed post through ATMs of SBI and need not visit the post office. postal department has tie up with SBI (state bank of India) to implement this facility. The facility will be available in Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other cities of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh soon.
The users can send speed post through visiting near by SBI Bank ATM. You can pay the charges also through the ATM. Here is the step by step procedure for speed post through ATM…
Visit the SBI ATM and select the speed post service from the services menu. There will be a kiosk attached to ATM to weigh the parcel.
The charges for the speed post will be displayed and the same can be paid through ATM. You will get two slips and paste one on the parcel and keep another with you for future reference.
There will be a separate post box in the ATM room. You should drop your speed post parcel in that box after pasting the receipt. Also check the address once again before dropping the parcel in the box. With this your transaction is over and concerned postman will collect the parcel from the post box. The service is presently available in Vijayawada of AP and will be expanded to Telangana including Hyderabad soon.
