Government of Telangana is heading towards major reforms in land administration and revenue system in the state. The Government is proposed to bring in new system called Title Registration for each and every land and plots. The efforts are aimed at preventing corruption in the revenue system.
Unique ID for all lands:
Under the new Title Registration system, each and every land and plots will be allotted a unique ID. It is like Aadhar number for individuals. The ID will be issued in the name of owner / pattadar of the land. All the properties of the owner will be linked with this unique ID.
Registrations also with Unique ID:
All the future registrations and transactions (buy or sell) will be carried out with the help of Unique ID. History of transactions of a particular land / property also can be tracked with this ID number.
To reduce official interference:
Title Registration system is aimed at reducing human / official interference in the land / property transactions. It is observed that the new system may take several years to complete. The Bhu Bharathi system is Nizamabad district is considered as ideal for these kind of reforms.
The property owners need not go to revenue or registrar offices once the new system is implemented. The government staff also can be downsized in revenue offices as most of the transactions will go online.
