TRS, the party which is strong in half of the districts of Telangana is now trying to spread into the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad. There has been no representation for TRS from Hyderabad in Assembly or Parliament.
With the realisation of Telangana state, the TRS is trying to woo Seemandhra vote bank in Hyderabad. KT Rama Rao told the media immediately after passing Telangana Bill in Lok Sabha that now it is their responsibility to protect the interests of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad.
Seemandhra people are highly concentrated in the areas of kukatpally, KPHB colony, ameerpet, SR nagar, dilsukhnagar, banjara hills, jubilee hills, madhapur etc. The Seemandhra vote bank is likely to influence elections in at least 9-10 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad.
