Here comes another padayatra from the state of Andhra Pradesh. The opposition leader, Chandrababu Naidu is already touring the state on the banner of ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’. Now it is the turn of YS Shamila, daughter of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy is gearing up for ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’ from Idupulapaya to Itchapuram in Srikakulam district.
The YSR Congress Party leadership, in the absence of it’s President YS Jagan Reddy wants Sharmila, to cover more number of villages and extensively interact with people during the ‘Maro Praja Prasthanam’ padayatra. The padayatra is scheduled to commence on October 18 from Idupulapaya in YSR Kadapa district. The YSRCP has lot of hopes on the mass image and personality of YS Sharmila.
The yatra will cover 16 districts and 125 Assembly constituencies. The party sources are claiming that the Pada Yatra may cross 3000 km. The yatra may go beyond six months. Sharmila will tour Kadapa district initially which covers 26 villages. The first phase will cover Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts.
It is observed that Sharmila’s Maro Praja Prasthanam yatra will be a unique one in the state as no other woman has taken up such yatra till the date. The party is also likely to keep it as a low key affair without much fanfare. Let us wait to see the results of Maro Praja Prasthanam.
