Nellore district is one of the strong bastion of YSR Congress Party. IN 2014 elections, YSRCP won in 8 constituencies out of total 10 Assembly segments. YS Jagan mohan Reddy’s YSRCP is not worrying much this time as well. All the sitting MLAs are almost confirmed of tickets for 2019 assembly elections. Following are the proposed candidates for Nellore district from YSRCP:

Nellore Rural: Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy
Venkatagiri: Anam Ramnarayana Reddy
Sullurpet: K. Sanjeevaiah
Sarvepalli: Kakani Goverdhan Reddy
Kavali: Ramreddy Pratap Kumar Reddy
Udayagiri: Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy
Atmakur: Mekapati Gautham Reddy
Kovur: Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy
Gudur: V Varaprasad (Former MP of Tirupati)
There may be changes in the above list depending upon the candidates for other parties and internal equations of YSR Congress Party.
There is some speculation on Nellore MP ticket. It is learnt that Mekapati Rajmohan Reddy may not contest this time. His son Mekapati Gautham Reddy may be fielded for Nellore MP seat.
Varaprasad from Gudur:
YSRCP is likely to field former MP, V Varaprasad from Gudur Constituency. Sunil Kumar Reddy, who won the seat in 2014 elections from YSRCP symbol has later joined in TDP.
