ICC World Cup Cricket 2011-Top Run Scorers and Wicket Takers

The ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 has came to an end after recording so may surprises this time. Favourite teams such as Australia and South Africa have bit the dust. The most unpredicted team in the world of cricket, Pakistan has recorded series of victories at the league stage. The winning spree of Pakistan was contained by India in the semi final. On the other side, Virender Sehwag has damaged the careers of so many bowlers with his onslaught throughout the tournament till the date. He has been the top scorer of the World Cup Cricket after the completion of 29 matches. But the statistics have changed as the game progress towards finals. Following is the latest update of top scorers and wicket takers after India Vs Pakistan Semi Finals.

On the batting side, Sachin Tendulkar has crossed Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh. Sachin has already recorded 2 centuries in the tournament even though the end results are not encouraging for the team. We have to wait and watch how the statistics will change after the final. Zaheer Khan is most likely to top the list after final. He is just 3 wickets away to topple Afridi from the top position.
