Jakkampudi Economic Township City in Amaravati in 265 Acres

Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced a new age economic city called JET City (Jakkampudi Economic Township). This is part of APs strategy to develop 100 economic cities in the state.

The first economic city at Jakkampudi of Vijayawada Rural mandal will come up integrating jobs, housing and social amenities. The entire project is conceptualised with a Walk to Work concept.

The Government of AP has identified 265 acres of land in first phase has been identified at Jakkampudi for development. The Government has created a SPV called Jakkampudi Economic Township Development Corporation Limited'

Following is the proposed allocation of land to various economic projects in JET CITY:

1) Industries: 34 acres
2) Housing Projects: 88 acres
3) Green Spaces: 40.86 acres
4) Roads: 75.17 acres
5) Infrastructure: 11 acres

The JET CITY is aimed at creating light and green industries for economic activities and creating employment. These include MSMEs, service industry, electronic industry, logistics companies and warehouses.

Other planned facilities in Jakkampudi Economic City includes educational institutions, hospitals, hotels, retail, recreation, entertainment etc.
