Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), a major political party in Andhra Pradesh. He is elected 7 terms as an MLA of Andhra Pradesh Assembly. He won from Kuppam Assembly Constituency in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu created record as longest served Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Chandra Babu's permanent address is at Naravaripally, Kuppam, Chittor District. He born on 20th April, 1951 at Naravaripally village. Born into a lower middle class family, Chandrababu Naidu studied M.A. Economics at Sri Venkateswara University, TIrupati. He has been winning the Kuppam Constituency of Chittoor District for the past two decades. Chandrababu was elected to Assembly for 7 terms. He was first elected as a Member of A.P. Legislative Assembly in 1978 elections on the Congress Party ticket. He joined in TDP after marrying NTR's daughter Bhuvaneswari and became General Secretary of TDP. Chandrababu has a son, Nara Lokesh.
Chandra Babu has been elected to A.P. Legislative Assembly in 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009 elections. He served as Minister for Finance and Revenue for a long time in the ministry of NTR. He played crucial role in Telugu Desam Party. He toppled then Chief Minister, NT Ramarao in August 2005 in a sensational transformation of power and split within the TDP.
