Udayagiri Assembly Constituency – Mekapati Vs Bollineni

Udayagiri is an Assembly Constituency in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy was representing the constituency before he was disqualified on the grounds of anti party activities. The Constituency is going for by elections on 12th June 2012. Mekapati Chandra Sekhar Reddy is contesting from YSR Congress Party. The Congress Party is fielding Kambham Vijayaramireddy from the constituency.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has zeroed in on Bollineni Rama Rao. Kambham Vijaya Rami Reddy was in TDP till the recent times. He was elected as an MLA earlier on the TDP ticket. Mekapati Chandra Sekhar Reddy is a brother of Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy, who is contesting from Nellore Lok Sabha Constituency in this by-elections.

The politics in the constituency turned interesting with all the bigwigs of the Congress are trying their best to defeat Mekapati brothers in Nellore district. These elections have become prestigious for Anam brothers as they are the arch rivals of Mekapati brothers.
