The Government of Telangana has split the Warangal district into three. Hanamkonda has been carved out from the existing Warangal district. The important towns in new Hanamkonda district include Huzarabad, Husnabad, Jangaon, Station Ghanpur, Palakurthy and Wardhannapet.
Following is the Hanamakonda district map. The map includes new district borders, towns, roads and railway lines etc. People can post their objections and suggestions on Hanamkonda district through the website www.newdistrictsformation.telangana.gov.in .
There is widespread dissent over the formation of Hanmakonda through splitting it from Warangal. On the other hand, people from Jangaon are protesting for Jangaon district. Click on the map below for larger version:
