In 2014 Assembly elections, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy has won from the constituency on TDP ticket. Later, he joined in TRS party. Manchireddy Kishan Reddy has won the seat with a majority of 11056 votes. TRS is fielding Manchireddy Kishan Reddy from Ibrahimpatnam Constituency.

History of Ibrahimpatnam:
Ibrahimpatnam Constituency was formed in 1952. It was a reserved constituency then and later converted to General Category seat. It gained prominence after establishment of Adibhatla IT Hub, Pharma City etc. TDP won three times here and K Pushpa Leela of TDP was also a minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet.
