The government of Andhra Pradesh headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu is all set to launch its popular program Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru from 2nd October 2014. This is a self help programme implemented by Naidu’s government ten years ago.
Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru is a rechristened version of previous Janmabhoomi programme. The first phase of the programme will be held from 2nd October to 20 October 2014.
The programme will cover distribution of pensions, plantation of trees, total sanitation and health, children enrolment in schools, development activities in villages and towns.
The Chandrababu Naidu government had implemented the programme in its previous tenure. It was also criticised by several scholars that the program is aimed at implementation of neo liberal policies of world bank. However the programme was a successful event across the state.
