New MLCs under Governor Quota in AP – Reddappa Reddy, Chakrapani, Hussain, Siva Kumari and Rajeswar

Following are the brief profiles / biodatas of new MLCs selected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council under Governor Quota. Governor has appointed 5 new members to the Legislative Council of AP. A self help group member from East Godavari district, Lakshmi Siva Kumari is the surprise in the list. Following are detals of other new MLCs, Farooq Hussian, Reddappa Reddy, D. Rajeswar and Chakrapani.

1. Farooq Hussain: He was borin on 6th May 1955 and belongs to Siddipet (Medak District). He joined in the Congreee Party during 1974 and assumed several positions in the party. He is known as close follower of senior leader of the Congress, Gulam Nabi Azad (Incharge of AP State Congress Affairs), V. Hanumantha Rao, Anjan Kumar Yadav (Secunderabad MP) and Sarve Satyanarayana (Malkajgiri MP).

2. Dharpalli Rajeswar: He was born on 2nd March 1961 and educated till Intermediate. He belongs to Nizamabad and a close follower of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and KVP Ramachandra Rao. He entered into politics in 1981.

3. Reddappa Reddy: He is an Ex- IPS officer and also served as DFO, ASP of Karimnagar and also as IG of Tripura state. He joined in active politics on the invitation of YS Rajasekhar Reddy after taking VRS as IG of Tripura. Reddappa Reddy belongs to Gonumakula Palle of Chittoor district. He was born on November 1956. His father’s name is Obula Reddy. Reddappa Reddy Studies in Rishi Valley School and Loyola College, Vijayawada.

4. A. Chakrapani: He is the Chairman of AP Legislative Council. He was selected 2nd term for MLC berth. He did his Ph.D. in Law. He served as an MLC during 1976 – 85. He is also a member of various committees of Legislative Council.
