The Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposed to construct Outer Ring Road (ORR) around Amaravati. The Government has come out with a plan for 186 km long ORR in the capital city.
Guntur also comes under the purview of ORR. The ORR project will be taken up by National Highways Authority and the state government will provide land.
The ORR in Amaravati will be connected to the national highways. It is estimated that about 35 lakhs population will be residing in the proposed ORR.
The land acquisition for ORR will be completed by the end of December 2016. Detailed project reports will be available soon on the proposed ORR and the same will be submitted to the NHAI for the approval.
